Toscana in a most authentic way,
enjoying its marvelous landscape from a
horse back. Enter the Natural Reserve of
Berignone crossing deep forests, wide
valleys and clear waters. Get excited
when coming across local wildlife while
riding a Hannoveraner sporthorse
accompanied by a qualified equestrian
trekking guide.
We start at Pomarance, 370 m asl, and
ride through a classical Toscana
hillside scenery, surrounded by the
smell of typical mediterranean herbs, to
reach the rivers Cecina and Sellate with
their unique fluvial ecosystem. We enter
one of the most important Natural
Reserves of Toscana, known as „Berignone
Forest“, with its vast extensions of
deciduous woods, holm oak groves and
scrubland, covering an area of more than
2000 hectars located between 200 and 500
m asl. In particular in summer, the
undergrowth offers us pleasant
refreshment.
The forest provides important breeding
sites for many animal species among
which wild boars, deers and burrows.
Numerous predators will observe our
paths from the above. Wild valleys,
narrow gorges and ruins of medieval
settlements, such as the Castello dei
Vescovi (IX century) turn our tour into
a genuine adventure. Finally, at the
light of a breathtaking sunset, we
return to Pomarance.
 We
provide Hannoveraner sport horses with
the best up to date blood lines, trained
in english riding, using a gentle
approach in education. They are born in
our own breeding station that since 15
years delivers horses with great
courage, spectacular movements and easy
ridebility. They have the right
character and attitude to make you enjoy
the emotion of a free gallop on
greenland.
You are welcome to visit our broodmares
and their foals raised on extensive
pastures.
For beginners and children we provide
adequate properly educated school
horses.
